We have applied an adjustment to Wind/MFI version 3 (V3) Bz (GSE) values
of Bz(adjusted) = Bz(observed) - {1.16 + 0.36 * sin [(FDOY - 76)/58.13]}
to account for Bz offset in V3 data. We have recomputed other parameters
that depend on Bz. We have reinserted adjusted MFI V3 data into hourly

Because effects of an offset in Wind/MFI Bz values, in version 3 data
that are used in OMNI for 11/29/2004 and later, are larger than
previously understood, we have deleted Wind magnetic field
data from hourly OMNI and from High Resolution OMNI (HRO)
for affected periods. This had little impact on hourly OMNI
except in most recent weeks since Wind data tend to become available
sooner than ACE data. But it had a significant impact on HRO,
especially for low-V flows when ACE densities are unavailable and
it was impossible to compute the bow shock nose location to which
to shift data. We anticipate filling the resultant gaps in HRO shortly.
